جيمى كارتر: قتل الجنود المصريين على الحدود تهديد لاتفاقية السلام

شدد الرئيس الأمريكى الأسبق جيمى كارتر على حق الفلسطينيين فى أن تكون لهم عضوية كاملة فى الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، موضحاً أن الفلسطينيين قد يندمون إذا تراجعوا عن مساعى الاعتراف بدولتهم. وأكد أنه لا توجد ضرورة لمراجعة الجزء الخاص بانتشار القوات المصرية فى سيناء فى المنطقة «ج»، التى تضمنتها اتفاقية «كامب ديفيد». وقال إن الاتفاقية جيدة لكل من «القاهرة» و«تل أبيب». ورفض «كارتر»، فى حواره مع «المصرى اليوم»، مقارنة هجوم المصريين على السفارة الإسرائيلية بالقاهرة باحتجاز إيران رهائن أمريكيين فى السفارة الأمريكية بطهران قبل ثلاثة عقود. وأكد التزام وحرص القادة العسكريين فى مصر وإسرائيل على استمرار العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين.

وأضاف أنه سيكون من الغباء إقدام أى دولة على دق طبول الحرب مع إسرائيل. واستبعد فى الوقت نفسه أى تحرك من الدول العربية للقيام بمواجهة عسكرية مع «تل أبيب»، معتبرا محاولات تركيا لفرض تواجدها فى المنطقة كقوة إقليمية شيئاً إيجابياً لا يضر بالمصالح الأمريكية فى المنطقة.

وأعرب الرئيس الأمريكى التاسع والثلاثون عن خيبة أمله فى الرئيس الأمريكى باراك أوباما. وأبدى تعاطفه مع الرئيس السابق حسنى مبارك، الذى قال إنه يأمل أن يتلقى محاكمة عادلة تتحقق فيها العدالة وتراعى فيها الجوانب الإنسانية مضيفاً أن قلبه مع «مبارك» فى وضعه الحالى
